Frédéric Malle designed this store as he would his own Milanese pied-à-terre. A constellation of modern objects - from Horst’s dynamic photographs of Cy Twombly’s studio, to Donald Judd’s stacked, minimalistic metal sculptures, to Hirst- style shelves - surrounds a Jean Prouve table, Mies Van Der Rohe chairs and a sofa inspired by the ones found at the Villa Malaparte in Capri. Upstairs, Breuer Wassily armchairs infuse the space with the spirit of Bauhaus. Both floors are illuminated and enhanced by the masterful work of Hervé Descottes.
